KNITTING GAL

Back to blogging basics....plus Dogs on Thursday

I have been absent lately due to some health issues. I had a CT scan last week and am happy to say all is well. I just have not felt like writing but I have been knitting with a vengeance. I have finished two baby sweaters for a set of twins and a pair of socks for my daughter, plus I am 3/4 of the way through a second pair of socks for my husband!

Other exciting news is that I have won a contest! I won Cat Bordhi's new book and some lovely yarn from knitpicks. I am so excited to win a contest and really enjoy the blog. Give a look at catgirlknits to check it out and a big thank you to catgirl!

Plus my Dogs on Thursday swap box came! The theme was the mud season and boy did I get some great goodies. Oliver was so happy with his new friend and hubby loves the micro fiber towel. I love the teas and chocolate cookies. What a great swap partner. A big shout out thank you to soxnitter.blogspot.comf or all the goodies. Oliver hangs out with hubby at his office and always has a good time there. I brought his basket to him and he really was excited. Of course the frog looks nothing like this picture anymore. I will take an after picture to show you. Hoping everyone is well and I will post some knitting pics for next time.

Hi Donna,

Actually, the box was from me, Leslie, Soxnitter, but that's okay. Glad you got it and are enjoying the stuff.

Hi Donna--I'm so glad you happy with the win!! Mama's fall has really kept me running to the nursing home, it seems, all the time. If there's not an advocate there, well, I just think a person needs one, plus I love Mama so I want to see her and she wants to see me. If I don't get your box out tomorrow...I will try very hard to get it out the beginning of next week. I apologize for this being later than I meant!!

Very glad your CT was okay! Oliver and Gracie now both have froggy toys. Gracie's makes a ribbit sound which cracks me up to no end. We got it from the Princess in the DOT holiday ornament swap.

My swap box is going to be late. I hate it, but such is life. I revealed myself to my friend and downstream pal right off the bat anyway, so this has been a swap for the records...

Glad your CT was ok. Health issues are a royal pain in the rump! I thought about stopping in the FH lib. when we were back in NJ. But we were too busy doing maintance on the house, which is now a rental for 2 year while the tenent's kids go to RFH. Rats! Talking in person would have been fun!

Hi Donna, I haven't checked in for a while. So glad you're well and Oliver is adorable as usual. You're a winner even without a contest. Stay well.
