KNITTING GAL

December 12, 2007

Just lurking around!

I haven't had too much time to take photos or post. I have been lurking and reading blogs here and there. Everyone is so busy knitting and getting ready-I feel like a slug! Work has been a disaster with blown servers and such and I would so much rather be home finishing all that needs to be done. I think once the kids are home from school and my oldest comes in from Manhattan I will have more holiday cheer. I have some good pics that I will post later this week. Until then hang in and keep knittin'

Oh- my oldest put together a fun quiz for all of you that love the movie "White Christmas". Come on, you know you are out there. We watch it every year along with Holiday Inn and The Christmas Story-right! Well here is half of the quiz for today and then the rest next time with the answers for today. Enjoy and as my daughter would say-"Joyeux Noel" (her boyfriend is from France!)

1. What actor was originally intended to play the part of Phil Davis ?

2. What famous choreographer worked on the movie, but wasn't credited ?

3. What famous character actress plays the roll of Emma Allen, the housekeeper ?

4. What well known composer's work was featured through out the film ?

5. What is missing when the group arrives in Vermont ?

6. What is the name of the town in Vermont ?

7. Why does Emma send all of the General's clothes to the cleaners ?

8. What gift does Betty give Bob as a present ?

Have fun and I will post answers next time!

I've never seen White Christmas, though I love the song.

Good to get an update from you. Hope the cheer comes for you soon!

I think I saw it once, long, long ago, when we still had a black and white TV...

Good luck at work. I hope things settle down soon!

The housekeeper was played by Mary Wicks (she was from St. Louis and went to Wash. U.) And, snow was missing from Vermont. The other answers? I am so clueless here. Take care and the mood will jump way up when the younguns come home. BTW, I much prefer Holiday Inn. I love to watch Fred Astaire dance.
