I am so excited to see that I am only 7 hits away from 500! Should I go in and out seven more times??!! No, really I have never done that...really I haven't. It has been such a fun journey from February till now. I can't believe all the friends I have made and the fun people I have blogged with. I passed the seventh month anniversary on September 12 and I am looking forward to hitting the one year mark. I hope to have a big celebration then. But for now I thought I would have a little contest to say thank you to all my blog buddies out there. This one is really very simple. I thought that because I am also a librarian I would include both my loves in this contest. Just leave a comment and tell me your favorite knitting book that you don't have. I will then pick out names at random and I will be sending three lucky winners their favorite knitting book. Only one entry per person, please. I hope that you will all enter and I am sure that a few surprise goodies might just make their way into the winner's boxes too! So put your thinking caps on, post your reply by October 1st and thanks for stopping by.
If you would like to post to your blog please feel free to do so. The more the merrier!

This is a fun contest. Right now my favorite book that I don't have is the Stitch n Bitch Knitter's Handbook. Happy Blogging!! Congrats on the 500 hits!
What a great contest. I can't say that I have a favorite right now but I've been eyeing "Knitting Ganseys"
by Beth Brown Reinsel.
Congratulations on your 500 hits!!!
What a fantastic idea for a contest!! The book that I most want right now is The Opinionated Knitter by EZ.
I hope you continue to have a blogging blast! :-)
congratulations on 500. What a great and fun way to do a contest. My book that I would like to have is any of the Barbara Walker Treasuries.
Love the contest!!! I've been eyeballing the Not Just Socks book for awhile now......LOL
Congrats! Mine would be More Sensational Knitted Socks -- I've drooled over that one in the bookstore numerous times. Have a great day:)
Gracious so many books to choice from. Ariel and I have the same wish book "Knitting Ganseys"
by Beth Brown Reinsel. There are others that are just as intersting, I love the look and the history of the Gansey's sweater.
What a cool contest idea! My next wish-book is Nora Gaughn's Knitting Nature. Oh, and since your librarian, when did everybody stop capitalizing the names of books?
The current favorite book that I don't have that I wish I did is:
"Vogue Knitting The Ultimate Sock Book: History*Technique*Design" by Vogue Knitting. I have a real thing for sock books of late.
Oh how fun and congrats on your 500!
I would have to say the Debbie Bliss HOME book...
Congrats on 500. You didn't need to go in 7 more times. We did it for you. I like Mason Dixon. I am fairly new this year to the yarn world, so I have the Stitch and Bitch and a crochet sock book.
Greetings and congratulations! I love me some Debbie Bliss!
Well, it's been a joy reading your blog and getting to know you!
I don't have ANY Elizabth Zimmerman books, so any one of those would be great. If we're picking from the books in the post, I would say the Sensational Knitted Socks... Have always heard wonderful things about this one!
Happy soon to be 500! I, too, am new (since April) to blogging and it has been a very positive experience. I didn't expect to have such interesting conversations and have people propose things I had never thought about. It has been great. My lusted after book? Knitting Vintage Socks.
Hey, can I mention this on my blog? Oh, and thanks for your answer. I reread my question and it was filled with grammatical errors. le sigh
This will be tough. Currently my favorite "book" is not really a book, but rather an older periodical. Specifically, the Winter 2006 issue of "Interweave Knits". There are three or four projects in there which are tempting me with startititus.
Congrats on 500! I'd say my favorite now is Knitting Without Tears - it's about time I added some EZ to my library.
Hi D--I'll be back to enter your contest, but wanted to say a very heartfelt thanks for your comment on my blog. It made life a little brighter today and I really appreciated it!
Hi, came over here from knitwonpurltoo, I LOVE your banner picture, I just stared at it for a while, very beautiful! I guess the book I wish I had would be the Knitting Vintage Socks or maybe the , hmm, can't think of the name......Intimate Knits maybe? Anyway, I like the bedjacket pattern in it. I like your blog, will be visiting more often!
YAY I'm not too late! :D I'm so glad. Congrats on 500! WOOT!
I love Lacy Little Knits, I look at it every time I go to Barnes and Noble, I just never buy it. :) I'd have it memorized by now if I had any sort of memory at all. I don't. (I've been told.)
I can't remember the title right this second but I would love the Debbie Bliss baby knits book.
Congrats on getting past 500, I am sure I have a book list a mile long, if only I could remember them all. I am currently coveting some EZ patterns and the Cat Bordhi new sock book.
Congrats! The book I'd love to win is Knits From a Painter's Palette: Modular Masterpieces in Hand Painted Yarn by Maie Landra. I know that it's gotten mixed reviews, but still it is on my wish list.
I am so suggestible! Every book choice I pick I think - that's the one I want! So, I guess I have to go with elaine and pick Knits From a Painter's Palette. If I win, do I get to change my mind or is this my final answer? :-)
Thanks for having the contest!
Congrats on 500!
I've been coveting the One Skein project book.
Congrats on the 500! And what a fun contest this is! I think the book I'd love to win is Lacy Little Knits - I adore lace!
What a fun idea for a contest. I think I'm going to choose "The Knitting Experience 3: Color, by Sally Melville. I hear that's a good book!!
And congrats on your milestone!
OK--back to play :)
Congrats on 500 first!
One of the books you've listed is one I've been eying. I even checked it out of the library a few weeks ago to make sure I wanted it...'Sensational Knitted Socks'. And while I'm still putzing on my first sock, I have great plans for more and this book, from what I could tell would be great!
